Coaching for Everyone

Are you thinking about making a change? Or are you done thinking and ready to leap?

Coaching can help you know yourself better, make decisions, create strategy, and follow through. It can help you change your life and be true to yourself.

Coaching works — for people of all income levels, at every stage of life. But it’s often only accessible to people with lots of disposable income or a company to sponsor them.

That’s why I offer Coaching for Everyone. This coaching is flexible, with no big commitments. And the price is more accessible, so that more people can experience the benefits of coaching.

If you're making a decision — congratulations on considering a new path!

Working with me will give you time and space to hear yourself think. Together, we'll look at the possibilities and risks of the options in front of you, and get clear on your motivations and your fears. We'll figure out how to apply your assets and honour your values, and you'll come to a decision you are confident in.

If you're ready to make a change — congratulations on choosing a new direction!

Working with me will give you direction and focus to follow through on your decision. Together, we'll look at your strengths and resources, and chart a path that will lead you to your destination.

How it works

Coaching is a partnership between me, the coach, and you. I’m trained in listening, observation, and asking questions in a way that will make you think and help you understand yourself and your situation better.

That clarity is valuable, but it’s just the start. Coaching is about change, so in each session we’ll devote time to determining your next action toward the change you want. We'll talk about what makes that action the right one, figure out what might get in the way, and come up with strategies to deal with those blockers.

That means that in each session, you'll get insight into your situation and you'll make a commitment to act based on that insight. After your session, you’ll be ready to make a change.

In the following session, we'll discuss the progress you made with no judgment, only curiosity about what you can learn.

Between sessions, I’ll be available through email or direct message to bounce ideas off, ask questions, and cheer you on.

Coaching is often priced as a luxury, but it’s a powerful tool for people of all income levels and at every stage of life. That’s why I offer Coaching for Everyone at a price point that’s more accessible than traditional coaching.

Pricing

  • 1st session: $149

  • 2nd session: $129

  • 3rd to 6th sessions: $99

  • 7th session onward: $89

My pricing schedule is designed to encourage clients to return for three, six, or more sessions. That's because the power of coaching truly happens in between sessions.

A single coaching session like a single music lesson: you'll probably learn something, but practicing on your own between lessons is the way to really master the craft.

Similarly, in coaching, multiple sessions will give you a chance to apply your insights, practice new skills, reflect on what works and what doesn't, and take advantage of the support and accountability of coaching over time.

The details

  • All prices are in Canadian dollars (although I can work online with anyone with a good internet connection)

  • A session is priced as part of a series if it is scheduled to take place within 90 days of the previous session. (That is, a session that takes place more than 90 days after the previous session will be charged at the 1st session rate.)

  • If you can't book a session within 90 days because I'm not available for some reason, email me and we'll figure something out.

  • You can pay in advance for multiple sessions, at the calculated rate of $1208 for 12 sessions, $674 for 6 sessions, or $377 for three sessions. There are no refunds for pre-payments. (There's no financial advantage to paying in advance, but you might choose to pre-pay for simplicity or to motivate yourself.)

  • Payment is accepted by credit card, Interac, or PayPal.

An important note

I acknowledge that I’m lucky to be in a position where I can offer coaching at a more accessible price. I don’t fault other coaches for charging a high rate for their coaching and consulting services, and I don’t think all coaches should charge what I charge!

I’m Amy Rhoda Brown, a coach, writer and editor. I studied coaching at the Adler Graduate Professional School in Toronto, and I earned the International Coach Federation’s ACC certification.

I’m no stranger to choosing my own path and changing my life. I’ve had three (soon to be four) different careers, studied music and languages, and read hundreds of books about people, learning and change.

As well as being empathetic and easy to talk to, I’m strategic and analytical (I have a degree in math!) so I can help you figure out a concrete plan to make the change you want.

I’m not a big achiever — I can’t tell you how to get rich or famous — but through my life I’ve been open to change, stayed curious about people and the world, and always been true to myself. As your coach, I’ll be by your side whether you want to be a big achiever or just to be true to yourself.
